Tarralla is an Australian
literary journal featuring an equal balance of fiction and
poetry.
Tarralla Issue 5 was successfully launched on Sunday November 19,
2006 when sixty or more people gathered to celebrate the occasion. Louise
Rochne delivered an insightful and entertaining speech, illustrated with
selected readings from poems and stories. (To view her speech, see below.)
Readings were given by:
David Campbell, The Road to Geelong, commended short
story,
Heather Sadiechild Harris, Danané,
Côte d'Ivorie, West Africa, commended poem,
Dawson Hann, The Stains of
the Third Age, commended poem, and
Amanda le Bas de Plumetot, Waiting for Rain, winner
of the short story competition.
The Tarralla Team would like to thank all those talented
writers and poets who entered the 2006 Tarralla Short Story and Poetry Competition.
Congratulations to our prize winners and to those authors whose work was selected
for publication.
