The Smear

The Smear is a favourite weapon of public figures that wish to discredit individuals or organisations that expose wrongdoings.

Lazy and treacherous journalists, politicians and some academics know the penalties for challenging the orthodox viewpoint, therefore they use a glossary of terms such as racist, fascist, ultra-conservative, extreme, right-wing, anti-semetic, nationalistic, conspiracy, xenephobic etc. to discredit people that may be better informed but less credentialed in the public eye.

For example, the smear was applied recently when it was suggested that 2% loans could be made rather than allow the public to know that even lower loans can and have been made without a problem.

Often used is The Smear by association, it has proved very effective against an ignorant public.

Recipients of the Smear include the Christian based League of Rights, the Larouche connected Citizens Electoral Council , Pauline Hanson's One Nation , and even letter writers to the Editor like myself who get a bit too close to the truth!

This concludes a grounding in how, who, why, and what has gone wrong with the Australian Economy.
