Tampering with the Weather.
In reply to a recent query on the strangeness of the weather, the following may be of interest to your readers.
The military have always had more than a passing interest in weather control ever since the death of Nobel prize winning inventor Nikola Tesla in 1943.
Key personell such as Captain Howard Orville in 1958 and Professor Gordon MacDonald in 1966 outlined many plans on the military use of weather control such as making holes in the ozone layer above targeted countries, how to use earthquakes as weapons, and how to manipulate the ionosphere with radio waves for various effects.
In the years following there have been many military and government radio installations set up for ionospheric and low frequency experiments.
Atmospheric dedicated bases have been set up in Alaska, Puerto Rico and other places including several in Russia, low frequency radio networks such as Omega have also been set up with little explanation of their purpose.
The first real evidence of tampering with the weather was the 1982/3 El-Nino with the most severe conditions for a 100 years including the inexplicable reversing of trade winds with horrendous effects that included shifting of jetstream currents that turned the direction of the cold Arctic air.
Newspapers of 1983 paint a very strange picture of unusual events and weather extremes in that period.
On August 11th. 1987 a U.S. patent was granted to one Bernard Eastlund for a method of altering a region in the earth's atmosphere, ionosphere, and/or magneto-sphere utilising the concepts of Nikola Tesla.
Currently the U.S. Navy is completing a controversial construction at Gakona, Alaska called HAARP. (High frequency Active Auroral Research Project)
This is a steerable radio array that will stimulate the ionosphere with an initial power of 320 KW, increasing to 1.7 GW in phase two, and then to a final power of 5.5 GW on completion.
If these facts are not convincing enough, there was an international treaty introduced in August 1975 prohibiting the military use of environmental modification techniques. The disarmament conference of July 9th. 1976 included discussion on introduction of man made electro magnetic fields into the atmosphere.
Australia became a signatory in 1978.
